Born in Upper Sandusky Ohio, Marcia Hoepf, O.D. received her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and graduated with honors from The New England College of Optometry in Boston.
After receiving her O.D., Dr. Hoepf completed an additional residency program focusing on primary eye care and ocular disease for the veteran population. Before joining Columbus Ophthalmology Associates, she worked in a diverse community health center in Boston, treating and managing a variety of ocular diseases.
Dr. Hoepf is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice for The Ohio State University where she supervises optometry externs in the clinical setting. She has lectured locally and nationally for continuing education conferences and has published in various academic journals. Dr. Hoepf has received grants from the National Institute of Health (NIH) to perform ocular laboratory research with animals.
Dr. Hoepf also has a commitment to serving underprivileged populations and traveled on a mission trip to Nicaragua in 2008 where she provided eye care to numerous villages throughout the country. She has been an active member of the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Hoepf resides in Worthington with her husband, Jeff, and has two little boys; Samuel and Everett. She enjoys running, hiking, camping, skiing, and traveling.
