Get to Know Dr. Derick
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Robert Derick has conducted glaucoma research and clinical services at The Ohio State University for ten years prior to joining Columbus Ophthalmology Associates in 2000. He lectures and presents glaucoma patient case studies throughout the Midwest to other ophthalmologists and optometrists, and has conducted many research projects for major ophthalmic pharmaceutical companies.
A caring philanthropist at heart, Dr. Derick has taken his medical expertise across borders to help restore vision on medical mission trips to Nicaragua, Jamaica, and India. Married to his medical school sweetheart, Dr. Derick is the proud father of two girls, loves to hike with his family, and has run over 10 marathons and competed in four Ironman races.
